Strolling through the streets of this Charente Maritime town, you might feel that you have jumped back in time and have become an extra in a film with swords and capes.

Don’t worry about getting lost in the town or going off the beaten track as it’s a wonderful way to discover it.

For hiking enthusiasts, there are about thirty well maintained and signposted hiking trails.
